This Privacy Policy describes how Lipsmack ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use our mobile application ("Lipsmack" or the "App").

By using Lipsmack, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and username.
• Audio Recordings: When you use our app, we collect and store the audio recordings you create.
• Usage Information: We collect information about how you interact with our app, including listening history and user preferences.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain our service, including storing your audio clips for 24 hours.
• To allow you to share audio clips with other users of the app.
• To improve and optimize our app and your experience.

Data Retention and Deletion

All audio recordings in Lipsmack are automatically deleted 24 hours after creation. This is a core feature of our application. User account information is retained until you delete your account. In case you want your account to be deleted, send an email from the email account you registered with to teo@lipsmack.me with the subject line DELETE ACCOUNT and include your username.

Third-Party Services

We use Supabase for authentication and data storage. Their privacy practices may be different from ours. We encourage you to learn about their privacy practices.

Device Permissions

Lipsmack requires access to your device's microphone to record audio. This permission is only used when you actively choose to record audio within the app.

Data Security

We value your trust in providing us your personal information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Child Safety and Protection Standards

At Lipsmack, we have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) content or behavior. We are committed to creating a safe environment for all users and taking proactive measures to prevent, detect, and remove any content or activity that could harm children.

Our Standards and Commitments:

1. Content Prohibition: We strictly prohibit any content that depicts, promotes, or encourages child sexual abuse or exploitation. This includes but is not limited to:
   • Sexual or suggestive content involving minors
   • Content that sexualizes minors in any way
   • Content that could be used to groom or exploit children
   • Any other material that may cause harm to children
2. Monitoring and Enforcement:
   • We use a combination of technical measures and human review to identify potential CSAE content
   • All audio clips are subject to review if flagged by our automated systems or reported by users
   • We promptly remove any content that violates our standards
   • Accounts found to be sharing prohibited content will be immediately terminated
   • When legally required, we report CSAE content to relevant authorities including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC)
3. User Reporting:
   • We provide a mechanisms for users to report concerning content
   • As the app is in beta, it is simply enough to record a voice message in-app to report a concern
   • All reports regarding potential CSAE are treated with the highest priority
   • If you do not want to voice your concerns in-app, report in writing to teo@lipsmack.me
4. Education and Prevention:
   • We provide resources and guidelines about child safety
   • We regularly review and update our safety measures to address evolving threats
5. Age Verification:
   • Our service is not intended for users under 13 years of age
   • We implement reasonable measures to verify user age during account creation

By using Lipsmack, you agree to comply with these standards and to help us maintain a safe environment. If you encounter any content that you believe violates our child safety policies, please report it immediately.

Children's Privacy

Our app is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
